As a dancer performing with Ayelen Parolin, Éric Minh Cuong Castaing, Tumbleweed, Louise Vanneste etc., Jeanne Colin has since 2017 carried out research into the links between movement and this unconscious, with a mixture of approaches and tools : dance, hypnosis, drawing. With Abysses the young choreographer continues this exploration, focusing on dreams and REM sleep, with an experience of rest principally characterized by nightmares and fear. Working on this turmoil between the real and fiction, what is felt and what is imagined, Jeanne Colin starts her work with a conference before allowing body and senses to drift into a dance marked by freedom and release. Playing physically and metaphorically with cords, knots and vines, Abysses ties together elements that are suppressed and separated.
