La Peau de l’Espace is a danced and poetic oratorical form. In her solo, the Swiss choreographer Yasmine Hugonnet shares with her audience the ideas and fictions that inhabit her dance. The words and what she is saying are linked to movements to shift the audience’s gaze and attention. Reflecting on form, presence and the way in which the space interacts with the body, this piece invites us to become accomplices in the choreographer’s personal laboratory of the senses.

In this program, the dance conference takes the form of both a lecture on dance and a "scholarly" dance, performing a text and a thought. The proposals — commissions by Charleroi Danse to artists or already existing pieces — bring together choreographers, artists, and theorists with an educational aim and a desire to break down genre barriers in order to better reflect on dance or from the perspective of dance.
