Born in Lithuania, Anna-Marija Adomaitytė studied contemporary dance at La Manufacture – Haute école des arts de la scène in Switzerland. Based in Geneva ever since, she has now created her third piece, TikTok-Ready Choreographies.
In this workshop, the choreographer is proposing to draw inspiration from the material featuring in her latest creation to question, through movement, the relationship between our physical and digital lives.
Using TikTok and Instagram apps as the starting point, the idea is to dissect social media habits and attempt to see the influence they have on performative bodies.
