Ni Ni Ya Mo Mo is a nursery rhyme I grew up with. It’s also the first thought that springs to mind when I think of my Arab heritage.  I’m not talking about Morocco or depicting its culture, but rather I’m trying to grasp the traces it has left in me.” Guilhem Chatir

Inspired by the memories of those who gave life to him, Ni Ni Ya Mo Mo immerses us in terrains where individuals merge to form a collective. Guilhem Chatir draws inspiration from popular places of gathering, such as stadiums, celebrations, markets and protests, where people can muster resistance and build a common dream. Using a circular structure, he deploys a constantly changing physical medium: the dances are inspired by this complex richness of origins and by images that reveal themselves and then disappear, evoking and then endlessly smouldering away.
