Starting with Vessel in 2015, the collaboration between these two artists continues with their shared fascination for honing and transforming forms through space. Inspired by the etymology of the world “planet” from the Greek planaomai, which means “to go astray, wander”, they sculpt a universe where the imagination roams free. Eight bodies move in a huge black expanse, shining like a field of stars, or become entangled in the white of a liquid that covers them like melting wax and constrains their movement. In a constant dialogue, these materials influence the bodies’ behaviour: the dance oscillates between sculptural and organic, transitions are created between fossilised, primitive bodies filled with water or engaged in a game with weight and gravity. By holding up these different textures of the living, the creation invites us to move through a perpetually transforming ecosystem
