A five-day unorthodox introduction to dramaturgical thinking and doing, with each day dedicated to different urgent questions from the field of contemporary dance and performance.

How can dramaturgy emerge from the bodies rather than from outside intellectual concepts?
Where do dramaturgy and artistic research overlap?
How can a dramaturg set processes in motion in dialogue with and independently of choreographers?
How is dramaturgical thinking reshaping the hierarchies of the working process and the existing artistic production models?Designed for practitioners in the field, the seminar aims to bridge theory and practice, and to offer concrete tools and strategies, both embodied and discursive, they can apply to their own artistic work.

Day 1. Dramaturgies of the horizontal work process: a card game for setting up common shared values and redistributing responsibilities within a work group.

Day 2. Embodied dramaturgies for the collective body: a physical practice exploring the possibility to move from a non-individual agency.

Day 3. Mapping as a dramaturgical method: written and visual reflection around five different elements of a work: content, form, context, relations and references.

Day 4. Research dramaturgy, production dramaturgy, and emancipated dramaturgy: exploring various types of involvement of the dramaturg through case studies.

Day 5. Dramaturgy of transnational collaborations: collective reading that opens the dialogue around working conditions and inequalities of cultural, political and financial nature.
