Initially devised to be performed in swimming pools and other expanses of water, Ophelia-s has now returned to black box theatre after a wealth of alternative experiments. Swimming techniques, image paths and stage writing allow the oh so iconic figure of Ophelia to be moulded and diffracted: the stubborn one, the distraught lover, the crazy one, the victim consenting to her own demise, the drowned one... A figure culminating in representations of her by Millais and the Pre-Raphaelites in the 19th century. Linking the danced gesture and the projected image, the Mossoux-Bonté dance company puts four women on stage next to some water. A place of abstraction, memory and mental image, the video contaminates the dance and vice versa, just like the links between the status of women and environmental issues. Detectives? Survivors? The Ophelias cohabit in a mystery deepened by the element of water that is both a source and a grave. Their intimate and ultimate connection.

Les apéros danse sont un nouveau moment de convivialité et de découverte de la danse. Autour d’un verre, en amont d’un spectacle, Elodie Verlinden, chercheuse en danse à l’ULB, vous invite à rentrer dans les arcanes d’une œuvre, à ouvrir la boite à outils d’un chorégraphe, à parcourir l’histoire de la danse dans une approche didactique et accessible.
Martha Graham disait « La danse est le langage caché de l’âme ». Ce langage s’apprend et s’apprécie pas à pas, d’un spectacle à l’autre. Trop souvent la danse est encore perçue à tort comme un art difficile. Les apéros danse sont faits pour déjouer ce préjugé et accompagner le public sans l’influencer dans sa vision de l’œuvre. Donner le goût pour mieux se laisser porter par l’univers des artistes, la singularité des spectacles. Car comme le préconisait Maurice Béjart : "La danse, c’est un minimum d’explications, un minimum d’anecdotes, un maximum de sensations".
