At the age of 17, Marco Berrettini won the German disco championship. Around twenty years later, this leading light in French contemporary dance brought to the stage, with humour and irreverence, the ambiance of the dance marathons of his past in Sorry, do the tour (2001). Then in 2019, he recreated the show in a new version Sorry, do the tour. Again! with a new cast including some of the performers from the previous version. In red costumes with flared pants or tops with gold sequins, they make all the disco moves to a soundtrack of Donna Summer and the Jackson Five, playing on the discrepancies between popular dance and the more institutional contemporary vocabulary. Full of self-mockery, the show also goes backstage at these dance competitions, uncovering the brutal competition, the relegation of dancers to the status of objects, and the narcissism of a special era.
