Supporting artistic creation in the Wallonia-Brussels Federation is the primary mission of Charleroi Danse.
Each year, the centre hosts around fifty artistic residencies across its venues in Charleroi and Brussels, ranging from short to several-week residencies. In addition, co-production support is provided to around forty productions created by choreographers from the Wallonia-Brussels Federation as well as international companies.
A call for projects for residencies, research grants and co-productions is launched twice a year. Following each call, an internal artistic committee reviews the applications and selects the projects to receive production support.
