Formed in 1985, the creative duo has over the past forty years been responsible for an extraordinary assortment of living art. With their rejection of conventions – in dance for her, in theatre for him – and seeking out originality, their meeting marked the start of a quest that has retained its vigour. In each part, which they take turns performing, Nicole Mossoux and Patrick Bonté set out in search of the appropriate language, which will enable them to give shape to “an attention, a space, a universe, an intuition”. The familiar strangeness of their creations draws on various sources, light and dark, to stubbornly target the contents of our imagination.
Following the presentation of Arrière-Mondes in Charleroi, there emerges an immersion in the winding course of this multi-faceted work, on the edge of movement, image and animated forms.
