Our dreams transform reality to convey our fears, our doubts, our desires. The desire to take flight, the nightmare of immobility : within the vast area falling between these extremes, the young choreographer imagines a dialogue, fuelled in part by life experience, between a woman and her duvet, as an object providing refuge and an item of scenery that itself becomes a character. From the absolute vulnerability of the sleeping body to the myriad scenes created by the mind, Madame Couette highlights contrasts to lure the audience into the meanderings of the imagination in action, digesting our emotions, decoding memories, and unfurling fantasies and fictions.
Geared towards children from the age at which their relations with the world of dreams gains complexity and emotional depth, the show is accompanied by a work of mediation through workshops and teaching.
