It is often exciting to see how two dancer-performers come together in a common space of exploration. Both Marie Goudot and Sophia Dinkel are involved in creation and transmission, spent time with the Rosas company, and are active in collective reflections around dance, and here they weave together a duo that grows from the sharing of their respective experience. Writing in tandem, in a flow of movements and audio textures, they deploy moves that rebound off their past experiences. Their presences seek out ways of relating, in order both to shrug off old identities and to try on new ones. Here they create a space to permit the existence of the desires and questioning that can emerge when prohibitions and projections are eluded. In this space they probe sensitive areas touching on the status of the performer, and on power and gender relations in choreographic creation. Partager le vide (Sharing the void) in order to put more trust in the multiplicities of being that germinate when the space is finally available.
