Kim’s classes are bouncy, athletic (but not pushy) and rooted in the pleasure of dancing. The class offers a mix between improvised tasks and the transmission of personal dance material ( set material, repertory ) to a very eclectic playlist (heavenly, teenage, hiphop, french chanson, classical music, .. )

The idea being that these classes are targeted towards professional dancers who need to stay ready for all types of performances wether it being very physical or less so, the class has an aim of “housekeeping” to keep everything at a basic readiness level. As paradoxically dancing is often not at the center of most dance work, the class will bring it. DANCING will be present, through improvisation scores and set dancephrases. The class evolves from a running or improvisation score to warm up, to a set repertory of floormaterial and movements that cross the space, to diverse improvisation scores, to a set phrase. Kim Ceysens (1988) is a Belgian artist who works as an actress, dancer and artmaker ( choreography, theater, ..) She obtained her BA in drama at the Royal Institute of Cinema and Sound ( RITCS )in Belgium and subsequently studied contemporary dance at SEAD in Austria. In 2012 she was awarded a Danceweb scholarship at Impulstanz in Vienna. Since 2012 she has worked with many choreographers and dance companies.
