This is an intimate work, almost like a living-room concert inspired by the notion of the ballad. Meg Stuart pulls on invisible threads, extends or projects her movement, slipping between explosive strength, voluptuous spirals and nervous jabbing into the space. The two musicians and their instruments are also physical bodies that take up space, filling it with their sounds and their presences. From this the creation takes shape, one note and one movement after the other, creating an accumulation of vivid points. The movements bounce off the sounds, which generate vibrations in the bones, the muscles and the imagination. The whole work weaves a canvas for research through action, a living dance composed as the music plays. Thus, this trio becomes a group on the alert, attentive to the interweavings of music and dance, to create a sensorial experience that is all at once intense, delicate and vibrant.
