Duo pour une danseuse et un musicien

While her focus is on comprehensibility, Louise Baduel does not however exclude abstraction – even when her efforts are directed at children. Revisiting the work of Camille Saint-Saëns, with the collaboration of electro composer Marc Melià, the choreographer aims to “create a visual universe that does not directly illustrate the music” but rather gives rise to sensations and to the force of colour. Thus movements and visuals are intertwined to lead the audience to “listen to the music with their eyes”, as Louise Baduel explains.

Research into fabrics and their properties – with the costume designer Leslie Ferré – guided development of the scenery : the forms move, the colours are transformed as the light changes, without the artists ever neglecting the creation of forms and effects. From the moment of their arrival, the youngest spectators and their parents are immersed in a total auditory, chromatic and sensory experience.
