“ The body is a living, poetical, political archive of my feelings; its resonance constantly stimulates me. To tie that into the future, it has to be brought into the present. ” A reactivation of time. Kairos rather than Chronos: seizing each fresh moment. With Dharma Punk, Pierre Droulers explores the streams of energy imprinted into his own history. From the singing-screaming punk revolt of the 70s & 80s to the techniques of listening to oneself for self-realization inherited from Buddhist practices. Playing on this contradiction nourishes one’s thought to “ transform rage into a new energy with greater clarity, and temper it ”.

The focus is the body as a receptacle of memory and a vector of movement. A political, poetic, living tool. A body that is here split, placed in a conversation between Pierre Droulers as dancer-choreographer and Olivier Balzarini as performer, both assisted by plastic artist Anne Buxerolle. With crossings, trajectories, encounters. But also with objects, music and stories, And dance, totally encompassed in the tension of each movement, and in the attention to each thing.
