Two passionate, conspiring, sometimes rival humans. Two individuals who cope (with each other), who dare, who hesitate, who progress, who sometimes give way. Habemus Naufragium does not merely take note of the unavoidable, but rather invents new ways, protocols for struggle and solidarity, pockets of resistance and solidarity.
Silvia Pezzarossi and Anna-Maria Besnier Bayon make up this duo. Sometimes burlesque fuelled with contrary archetypes, sometimes disjointed and strewn with anxieties, it transforms and mutates, until it becomes the hybrid creature ploughing through the waves. When the shipwreck is announced, the work responds with extravagance, poetry, clowning and also seriousness. In the course of this metaphorical voyage, the choreographer includes stopovers in the aesthetics of clubbing, cabaret, and musicals. A witty and serious invitation to “rise up and set sail through the storms of our era”.
