They’re ending their course on a high note, with two stars of contemporary dance. The students taking a Bachelor’s degree in contemporary dance at Lausanne’s La Manufacture are presenting an end-of-year show worthy of the top European stages. Heading the show is Lia Rodrigues, a contemporary dance pioneer from Sao Paulo and founder of the Companhia de Danças, which has been sending out a joyful wave of dissent for over three decades. Working with her is Jeremy Nedd, a choreographer from Brooklyn, New York, who is now based in Basle, Switzerland. His choreography deals with decoloniality and racism through the spirit of street dance such as hip-hop or pantsula. Recognized for its promising fledgling talents, often on international circuits, La Manufacture promises an audacious and radical evening.
