“I’ve always been fascinated by those spaces that that detach individuals from everyday reality and transport them into another form of interaction”, declares the performer and choreographer. Karaoké is one such space : its participants reveal themselves, their desires on display, free from the pressure of judgement or perfection. For one song, the individual tells their story, within a collective instant.
The research of Habib Ben Tanfous gravitates around vulnerability, which here is a vector of connection, a way to “share a common space where engagement without fear is possible”. This Orchestre vide does not shrink from kitsch, an essential ingredient, and fosters fluid circulation between the performers and the audience - who can in this way participate in the micro-fictions that spring up in the course of love songs, a connection that is universally ‘pop’.

NEW / À partir du mois d'avril, quand les jours s'allongent et que le temps se fait plus clément, Charleroi danse propose les Heures d'été : des ambiances musicales et des DJ sets pour prolonger la soirée au bar, sur le dance floor ou sur notre terrasse.
Moment de convivialité et de découverte de la danse, les Apéros danse, proposent, 30min avant le spectacle, une introduction à l'œuvre, et au parcours de l'artiste. Santé!
