The Ballet de Lorraine deploys its incredible plasticity to serve the aesthetics of the contemporary choreographers Maud Le Pladec and Ayelen Parolin. With the same spirit of fantasy that animated her most recent creations, Ayelen Parolin gives free rein to the madness of the twenty-three performers of the Nancy-based Ballet in a thrilling and complex dance. With the extravagant Malón, she invents a choreography drawing inspiration from the word used by the Mapuche (peoples from the central part of the Andes mountain range) to mean “pillage”, which subsequently evolved to designate an undisciplined mob. Maud Le Pladec’s Static Shotdeploys an even more electrical energy. The performers, gathered in a mass of bodies execute a series of movements with absolute precision, inspired by film editing processes. An explosive evening, with delirious crowds and frenzied clips.
