In this workshop, we will explore and articulate through movement what it means to be touched or affected by something, human or non-human, and push certain physicalities toward forms of extrapolation: intensifying and exaggerating specific states, sensations, and gestures in order to lead bodies toward fictional or hybrid figures—giants, tentacular bodies, transformed presences, and more.
Louise Vanneste shares her practice, which she likes to describe as choreographic orality, consisting of solo and group improvisations in which listening and receptivity stimulate an instantaneous corporeal writing. Periods of physical practice are punctuated by moments of note-taking and/or drawing, allowing the pencil or pen to bear witness to the body's experience.
Each day will begin with a warm-up based on the practice of Fascia and Dance.
