Pièce pour 5 danseur·euse·s

Five performers and as many journeys, sometimes bumpy, feed into the new creation from the No Way Back company, ‘Work in Progress’ prizewinners at the Detours 2025 festival. Following an original proposal by Micael Anigbe, the investigative work presents: “an in-depth exploration of contemporary realities through the prism of breakdancing”.
Within a context of urban violence, social tensions, and general angst, Les Échos de la Rue is intended to offer an alternative vision. A world bubbling with mutual aid, with listening, with bursts of emotion. A world in which tenderness forms an opposition to the pain that runs through it. An invitation to transcend conflict and invent a way of peace, a space for harmony.
“The street is the beating heart of life. It’s the school of dreams and scars. In it you learn to fall down but above all to get back up. The street is us, our voices, our bodies, our stories, A blend of fighting, smiling and freedom. So, open your eyes, because this evening the street is up on the stage.”
