30'
Pièce pour 1 danseuse et 1 juriste

Where does borrowing begin and where does homage end ? And how to steer a course between remaking, transforming and creating ? Olga Dukhovna is a choreographer who likes to work, as she puts it, through “choreographic recycling ”, continually interacting with existing dances. Here she orchestrates a dialogue with Pauline Léger, a lawyer specializing in copyright law, to explore a range of issues in an area that encompasses traditional dances, repertory pieces and anonymous movements. From Beyoncé to Nijinski via Yvonne Rainer and Boris Charmatz, the performance dissects the exchanges that shape works and bodies, questioning what belongs to a performer, to history or to the whole world. Over the course of this lively and maliciously methodical conference-performance, a show is created before our eyes, in the shape of a sharp, playful political investigation into the real meaning of creation.
